Living in a way that matches your lifestyle.
Are you at a stage where you finally have time to enjoy life to the max? Do you have far fewer obligations than used to be the case? Would you like to enjoy your free time without all the hassles of having to care for your own home and garden? Then you may well be interested in an apartment on the Stoephout Estate (Landgoed Stoephout), which offers you a first class living environment at a green central location in the Netherlands.
Imagine waking up to the sound of birds and gazing out over endless hectares of nature, while still being close to the dynamics of city life. Moreover, Stoephout offers you and your valuable possessions the level of care that you expect. Living in style while maintaining your privacy and respecting your personal lifestyle - this is the tradition that defines Stoephout.
A stroll in your 3,5 hectare garden.
The service apartments at the Stoephout Estate were built in the exclusive residential area of Wassenaar South/de Kieviet in 1969. Step outside your door and take a stroll (with or without your pet) through its leafy and quiet surroundings. Stoephout is situated in the middle of a beautiful landscaped park with no less than 3,5 hectare of trees, shrubs and a pond with large fountain. Enjoy watching the colours change throughout the year and experience the intensity of the seasons. Privacy is guaranteed as the park is only accessible to residents of the estate!
Whatever your preferences, Stoephout has a great deal to offer. Firstly, there is Wassenaar, a friendly town that is just a short bike ride away. This offers you an historic centre and a plethora of shops, all surrounded by forests, large estates and residential areas. Wassenaar has the second-largest forest acreage in the Netherlands with many cycling and walking trails running past fine buildings, alongside beaches and through the dunes.
Just a few kilometres away, The Hague offers a wide variety of shops, culture and restaurants. The bus to the city centre stops within walking distance from Stoephout. Moreover, thanks to the close proximity of the N44 and N14 motorways, Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, Rotterdam and other cities in the Randstad region are also very easy to reach.
Family traditions here to stay.
Stoephout is designed to be a place where people bring their 'home' with them to spend their days in comfort and style. You will be proud to receive friends and family in the ambiances to which you are accustomed, and they can also make use of the estate's 3-star guest rooms for a modest fee.
If you enjoy maintaining social contacts while also valuing your privacy, you will feel very much at home at Stoephout. We offer you a world of possibilities without any of the obligations.
Another unique feature of the Stoephout Estate is the kitchen where chefs prepare fresh and varied meals of a high culinary level on a daily basis. The main ingredient here is flexibility: Any dietary requirements can be taken into consideration, and any dinners you might like to organise can be arranged in consultation with the staff. Dinners and lunches for friends and/or family can be served in your own apartment or in the hall. Should you wish, you and your guests can also attend the special dinners organised twice a year in the hall with a menu that would not be out of place in a Michelin star restaurant. After dinner, your guests can choose to stay in one of the fully equipped guest rooms or even in one of the lettable flats.
Tradition and future go hand in hand
While family traditions are important at Stoephout, there is also a considerable focus on the future. The owner occupiers' association (VVE), for example, developed a vision with a clear position for the new generation of 50+ residents. The VVE has an active Board and a reliable financial policy, under guidance of a director with a professional staff. The apartments at Stoephout are also future-oriented in terms of both facilities and service level.
Carefree living starts with a sense of safety
The Stoephout Estate and its numerous facilities have been established to offer you a carefree life. This includes various safety features such as an intercom system and an alarm system with a direct connection to the warden in case of emergency.
Stoephout includes 77 privately owned apartments, the majority of which has four (140 m2) or five (167 m2) rooms. A large number of these apartments have their own garage and all have storage cellars as well as beautiful views over the park with its pond and flowers.
The service costs are € 783 per month for a two-room apartment, € 997 per month for a three-room apartment,
€ 1.147 per month for a four-room apartment and € 1.284 per month for a five-room apartment.
The estate organises various group activities in which you can participate voluntarily. These include a bridge club and a (ladies' and gentlemen's) social club. There are also regular cultural evenings as well as excursions to museums and exhibitions organised by interested parties. You may also enjoy the chance to play a game of billiards or table tennis, while fitness fans will also be in their element.
The complete maintenance of the park and the delicious cooking are part of the standard services provided at Stoephout, which also include a handyman and household help. The reception is available for all your questions and requirements, and two wardens are available 24/7 in case of an emergency, both of whom have a first aid and in-house emergency certificate. The staff play a consulting role to enable you to help yourself. If you require medical or home care mediation, the manager is happy to oblige, seven days a week and in all privacy.
The Stoephout Estate also includes a shop that also offers home delivery, plus the option for flower and dry cleaning deliveries. There's also a modern hair salon in the house where both men and women can let their hair do. For treatment by a pedicure is also a room available.
